Swiss-Argentine conductor Facundo Agudin studied Conducting at the Universidad Catรณlica Argentina and specialized in medieval music and historical composition in Bologna and Basel.
Winner of the First Prize at the Colin Metters Seminar (2007), he is the founder and Music Director of Musique des Lumiรจres and has served as Principal Guest Conductor of the Armenian National Opera. He has conducted at the Mariinsky Theatre and collaborated with renowned artists including Ramรณn Vargas and Kent Nagano.
Agudin has appeared at major international festivals such as the George Enescu Festival, Festival Ljubljana and the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, conducting orchestras including the Prague Chamber Orchestra, Basel Symphony Orchestra and Buenos Aires Philharmonic.
His recordings include collaborations with Swiss National Radio SRF, NEOS Music, Universal Music Group and IBS Classical. His album Bach Mirror achieved significant international streaming success.
A dedicated educator, he is Guest Professor at the National University of Buenos Aires, Music Director of Sinfรณnica Patagonia, recipient of the KONEX Foundation Prize 2019, and Artist in Residence at EVL Ensemble Vocal de Lausanne. In the 2023โ24 season, he made his debut at the Grand Thรฉรขtre de Genรจve.
